18 year old Maiquinho was one of the kingpins in Complexo da Penha – a favela in Zona Norte in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is believed to have killed 3 cops and there were 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest.
On August 15, 2014 Maiquinho and other favela drug traffickers were spotted in the Periquito locality by members of the Pacifying Police Unit (Unidade de Polícia Pacificadora). During the ensuing confrontation, Maiquinho was severely wounded in the face.
Video below depicts Maiquinho in a hospital. He lays motionlessly, almost dead like on the bed, but tenses up every so many seconds and lets out a scream. With half of the face missing, the screams expose nasty jaw dislocation.
The video also appears to expose another case of medical unprofessionalism in Brazil. We’ve previously seen a video of Brazilian doctors and nurses laughing at a guy with a lungfish up his anus. There appears to be laughter in this video too, in response to one of the screams. No matter how bizarre the condition, or who the patient is, the medics should conduct themselves professionally and not have themselves a laugh at the expense of the patient.
