Brazilian police engaged two would be robbers on Avenida Brasil in Rio de Janeiro and shot both of them. In the video, one alleged robber is shown alive with arm busted from a gunshot, the other lays face down on the road in a pool of blood.
The cameraman makes a few close ups of the seemingly dead robber who appears to twitch, but if you look at the amount of blood he’d lost and where it came from, it’s pretty clear that the guy is dead. The death twitch is just a sign of the inevitable.
Strangely enough, the cops put handcuffs on the mortally wounded robber, but not on the one who did not sustain fatal wounds. It would appear that the dead robber tried to flee and was shot during the attempt to run away – unlike he’s partner, he put a little distance between himself and their getaway motorcycle.
I still find it odd that the cops would put handcuffs on the guy who’s clearly not going anywhere anytime soon.
