Motorcyclist Broke His Face Wearing Flip Flops But No Helmet

It’s the same scenario over and over again – young punk who thinks he’s invincible takes a steel horse for a ride. To retain his macho status, he’s not wearing a helmet, but his feet are draped in mighty flip flops. By the looks of it, this one also went for a ride shirtless.

Punks like these tend to learn their lesson fast. Our macho man crashed and broke his face. There’s quite a stream of blood running down the road so it’s definitely more than just a scratch, although other than his head, there are no other obvious injuries.

The accident happened on Viaduto do Santarém (Underpass of Santarém) in Natal, capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The motorcyclist reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and collided head on with an oncoming vehicle.

UPDATE

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but I just learned that despite efforts to save his life, he died the following day (yesterday). The emergency medics reportedly forgot the cervical collar – the device that stabilizes the patient’s head and neck to prevent spinal injuries during transfer to hospital. However whether that contributed to the young man’s death or whether his crash injuries were fatal to begin with I do not know.
