45 year old woman committed suicide by jumping to her death from a 7th storey window in Poços de Caldas, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Although there were cars parked along the side of the road where the woman fell, she landed right in the gap between two of them causing no physical damage, other than maybe a little genuine red mist spray. The hard landing resulted in ejected brain and broken leg.
The saddest part about all this is how she went about committing suicide. The apartment from where she jumped belonged to her brother. She must have been really bothered by something, but never let anyone know. Not even her brother. She just came to visit him like siblings do, hanged out with him in the living room, chatted like nothing weird was going on, patiently waiting until her brother went to the bathroom. As soon as he was out of the living room, she opened the window and jumped.
Imagine how her brother must have felt after realizing that he failed to read the signs that something was wrong with his sister, and that she came to visit him solely because he lived on the 7th floor and she thought that was the surest way to reliably kill herself. How awful it must have been for her to pretend everything was fine, patiently waiting until her brother went to relieve himself to do what she came there to do in the first place.
Apparently, her brother’s friend was in the apartment too and he noticed something was amiss when the woman opened the window and climbed over it. He tried to stop her and grabbed at her, but was unable to hold her full weight.
Everything about this is just way too sad.
