On December 2, 2014, A man identified as Erick Daniel Vieira Franco 29, died in the neighborhood of Pompeia in São Paulo, state of São Paulo, Brazil after he was run over by a truck hauling sand. Witnesses say that Erick had hit a bump which caused him to lose control of his bike and he fell, right as the truck was driving past. Erick was crushed by the back tires and the driver continued to drive forward, assuming he had hit a bump. It was only after being chased after and hailed by bystanders that he stopped and realized what he had done. As far as I know, no charges have been filed. The body was taken to morgue and then released to family.
Man, I was always fascinated by the way that human flesh and innards which have been crushed and smeared tend to take on the appearance of pizza cheese and sauce, and smashed brains always makes me think of lasagna. Just riding your bike and all of a sudden you’re stretched along the road like mozzarella.
