A 49 year old man in Ribeirão Preto, state of São Paulo, Brazil came home and for seemingly no reason, beat his 12 year old son so severely that the child later died. The ten year old brother of the victim was also home at the time but was able to hide from his father’s rage and later escaped to get help, telling of the severe injuries inflicted on his brother. The father, identified as Jurandir Ferreira Neres was soon confronted by outraged residents of the favela in which they lived and he was summarily beaten and stoned to death, his head cracked open and leaking brain matter all over the ground.
When police arrived, they found a hammer and a knife which had blood on them and it is believed they were instruments used to kill the child as he was discovered to have multiple bloody wounds all over his body. Unfortunately, the child died en route to the hospital.
Police are investigating, looking for the residents who participated in the stoning. It has also come to light that the father was a drug user and alcoholic who routinely abused the two boys, particularly the 12 year old.
Another atrocity against the innocents, It never ends.
