Two rivals got into a dispute which left one of them dead in Caruaru, Brazil. The victim, twenty nine year old Leonardo Amaro “Kiko” da Silva was shot dead by Lenilson José da Silva, also twenty nine after the latter made threatening gestures to the victim suggesting that he was going to kill him. When Leonardo finally left on his motorcycle, Lenilson went into his home, grabbed a .38 revolver, followed him on his own motorcycle and shot Leonardo several times until he fell into a ditch and then finished him off with several more shots. Lenilson then attempted to flee the area on his motorcycle which he crashed into a parked car. Men working on a house nearby saw Lenilson and apprehended and held him until police arrived and took him into custody where he later admitted to threatening to kill Leonard. Unsurprisingly, both victim and killer have police records and this may have been a dispute over drugs or drug dealing territory.
