Plain Clothes Policeman Pretends to Surrender, then Surprises Armed Robber with Shot

Two friends, both military policemen wearing plain clothes since they were off duty stopped at a gas station in Lorena, in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil where they chatted with three attendants while their motorcycle was being filled. Then an armed bandit showed up from out of nowhere and took one of them hostage, holding a gun to his head. His friend pretended that he was surrendering by raising his arms up and then pretended that he was going for his wallet to meet the robber’s demand to hand him the money, but instead pulled out his gun and shot the robber.

It was an incredibly risky shot, as the robber both pointed the gun to his friend and held him in close proximity to use him as a shield. Nevertheless, the policeman managed to neutralize the robber without hurting his friend.

The thief survived being shot twice, but remains hospitalized in serious condition.
