The murder occurred at around 3:30 pm on Saturday July 13, 2013 at Rua Rio de Janeiro, in the St. Lawrence neighborhood, Teixeira de Freitas, state of Bahia, Brazil. A man identified as Zaqueu da Silva Santos Lima was shot dead by a guy with a gun. Eye witnesses reported that young Da Silva slapped the guy in the face earlier in a bar and the ego hurt guy later returned with a gun in his hand to square up.
Zaqueu had a criminal past and was arrested on April 23 along with an accomplice after having stolen a motorbike in Posto da Mata. He was shot in the back having tried to run away after the guy he had slapped showed up with the gun.
