A motorcyclist misjudged his riding skills and crashed by slamming into the back of a vehicle. The impact rendered him unconscious and his motorcycle caught fire. People who witnessed the accident rushed to the motorcyclist’s aid and tried to put the fire out with portable extinguishers. It was all in vain. With fuel burning intensely, the fire was not going anywhere soon.
Nevertheless, the fire was eventually contained before the arrival of firefighters by people who used larger extinguishers from nearby stores, but it was too late for the motorcyclist. He was taken to a hospital with severe burns where he succumbed later. The accident took place on the BR 316 highway in Castanhal, state of Pará, Brazil.
